Linguistic  characteristics  of  English-speaking  Twitter 
The  article  addresses  the  problems  of  computer-mediated  communication  and  its  new  genres.  The  definition  of  such  new  genre  of  Internet-communication  twitting  initiated by a new internet-service Twitter is provided. The linguistic analysis of twitting  as  one  of  the  computer-mediated  communication  genres  on  phonetic  and  graphic,  lexical,  morphological  and  synthetic  levels  is  given.  The  new  oral-written  form  of  twitting genre initiated by this service presents the main result of this study.

Containing  Ornithological  Terms  in  the  Ukrainian  and  English  Languages    The  article  considers  the  linguistic  culturological  peculiarities  of  phraseological  units containing ornithological terms in the Ukrainian and English Languages. The role  of  ornithonym  in  the  formation  of  phraseological  semantics  has  been  analysed.  It  is  defined that meaning of the ornithological component, used in the language, very often  aims at the allegorical, usually metaphorical, marking of the person.

The  effect  of  the  speech  in  the  communication  process 
The objective of the politics, fund-raisers, PR specialists, etc. is to make a speech  that  would  be  persuasive  but  not  too  insistent  at  the  same  time.  This  is  why  business  people  tend  to  use  the  manipulative  speech.  It  is  based  on  a  particular  form  of  organizing a text that makes the addressee take the decision that would be beneficial to  the speaker. For example, the adverbs and adjectives are widely used in manipulative  texts.

Functional peculiarities of the texts annotations (on  the  base  of  the  art  works’  annotations)  
The article deals with the precise definition of the notion “function” in linguistics.  Communicative,  pragmatical  and  linguistic  analysis  of  the  texts’  functions  in  the  art  works’ annotations is based on the language, structural and compositional peculiarities.  Specific character of the annotation as a derivative concise type of the text determines  the  underlining  of  the  principal  function  –  cognitive-informational  one  with  the  evaluative component. Auxiliary functions are also observed.

Gender variation of nouns in the Berlin urban dialect
The  article  offers  a  research  of  gender  variation  of  nouns  in  the  Berlin  urban  dialect.  On  the  basis  of  analysis  of  the  grammatical  category  of  gender  in  the  Berlin  urban dialect we disclose four groups of transition of nouns from one gender to another.  We  have  come  to  conclusion  that  extended grammatical  paradigm  of  feminine  gender  form is the most stable subsystem of the grammatical category of gender in the urban  variety of Berlin.

In the article we make analysis of lexical dialect units of Hutsul dialects from the  point of view of belonging to specific parts of speech on the material of creative works by  M.Matios.  We  specify  the  most  widespread  semantic  groups  of  lexics,  their  role  in  understanding  of  culture  and  world  view  of  the  nation  through  the  prism  of  texts  of  creative literature.

The article deals with the problem of paralinguistic meaning of prosody, as well as  the correlation of prosodic components in the oral text of German sermons with their  impact  on  the  recipient,  studied  by  the  method  of  semantic  differential.  Paralinguistic  information  is  transmitted  to  the  speaker  using  a  specific  implementation  of  pitch  contour,  accentuation,  pauses,  rhythm  and  speech  tempo  as  a  consciously  controlled  mechanisms of producing an effective speech.
